Frequently asked questions

How do I play?

Name the one climbing in the dark, then keep a light for them. Each day you open the door, read the letter they left, give them something to carry, and close the app. They walk only while you are away. The game is meant to be played a little at a time, so feel free to set it down and come back later. They will keep climbing.

Why will a new day not open?

That is by design. After you finish a day, the next one opens only once you have walked ten thousand steps, or stayed away from the app for a full day, whichever comes first. The days do not need to be back to back. Take as long as you like. Nothing resets, and just opening the app to check does not restart the wait.

Do you really read my steps?

Only on your device, and only to decide when the next day opens. Your step count is never recorded, stored, or sent anywhere. If you would rather not grant Motion access, the 24-hour time path still works on its own.

How do I restore my purchase?

Wick is free to begin, with one optional one-time unlock called "The Full Climb." If you have already bought it (for example after reinstalling or switching devices), open the game and tap "Restore purchase" on the unlock screen or in Settings. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you used originally. Apple handles the restore, so it reappears at no extra charge.

I lost my progress. Can I get it back?

Your progress is saved locally on your device. Because the game has no accounts and keeps nothing on a server, progress can be lost if the app is deleted, the device is reset, or local data is cleared. We cannot recover a save once it is gone. If your progress vanished but the app is still installed, email us with the details and we will do our best to help.

How do I reach support?
