Wick · Effective June 24, 2026
Wick is built to be private and quiet. The app collects no personal data, has no accounts, and sends nothing about you anywhere. Your game, and your steps, stay on your device.
None. Wick does not collect, request, or transmit any personal information. We do not ask for your name, email, location, contacts, or any account sign-in to play.
With your permission, Wick reads your step count through Apple's Motion framework. This is used only on your device, solely to decide when the next day of the story can open once you have walked far enough. Your step data is never recorded, never stored by us, and never leaves your iPhone. If you decline Motion access, the game still works using time away instead.
The only data the app stores is your local game save, kept on your device by the system. This includes things like the name you chose, how far the climb has progressed, the letters you have collected, and any mark you leave. This information stays on your device, is not sent to us or anyone else, and is removed if you delete the app.
There are no user accounts, logins, or profiles. You do not need to register to play, and there is nothing to sign in to. The "wall" inside the game, where you may leave a name and a line, is stored only on your device and is not shared with anyone.
We do not track you. The app contains no third-party analytics, no advertising, no advertising identifiers, and no behavioral tracking of any kind.
Wick shows no advertisements.
Wick is free to begin and offers one optional one-time purchase called "The Full Climb." This purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the standard In-App Purchase system. Apple processes the transaction, and we never see or store your payment details. Apple's handling of that purchase is covered by Apple's own privacy policy.
Because the app collects no personal data, nothing personal is gathered from anyone, including children.
If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this policy and revise the effective date above. Since the app collects no personal data today, we expect any changes to be minimal.
If you have any questions about this policy, please reach out at mr.pocketwhale@gmail.com.
